How Etsy fees work in Canada

Listing fee. $0.20 USD per listing (about CA$0.27), charged when you publish and again every 4 months or for each extra quantity sold. This calculator counts one listing fee per order, which is how it lands on multi-quantity listings.

Transaction fee. 6.5% of the item price plus the shipping you charge the buyer (and gift wrap, if any).

Regulatory operating fee. Canada is one of the countries where Etsy charges this — 0.50% of the item price plus shipping charged.

Payment processing. For a Canadian bank account: 3% + CA$0.25 on orders from Canada and the US, 4% + CA$0.25 on other international orders. It is charged on the total the buyer pays, including shipping — and including sales tax where Etsy collects it, which this estimate leaves out.

Offsite Ads. If Etsy advertised your listing off Etsy and it sold, you pay 15% of the order total (12% if your shop made over $10,000 USD in the previous 12 months).
